Raven’s Nest Temple, Inc. is a legally incorporated nonprofit religious and community organization built to develop practical, real-world alternatives to systemic failure through land stewardship, mutual aid, food security, and human dignity.

Why We Were Built

Raven’s Nest was founded by Rev. Jon “The Mad Goose” Bradley, a Pagan minister, builder, counselor, survivor, and technologist who understands firsthand what it means to need help from systems more interested in control than understanding.

Surviving homelessness, religious condemnation, and institutional intimidation during the era of the Satanic Panic taught a hard lesson very early on: sometimes the people you are told will protect you are the very people from whom you need protection.

That foundation shaped the core philosophy of Raven’s Nest: when institutions fail, we do not wait for permission or politicians to save us. We take material survival into our own hands.

What We Are Building: Infrastructure and Vision

• Land and Earth-Sheltered Housing: Acquiring starter acreage and building earth-sheltered structures roughly ten feet under the topsoil layer for natural climate control and durability.
• Food Security and Free-Range Animals: Developing gardens, food forests, aquaponics, and humane animal care. Our animals are strictly free range, because true freedom is not a hot cage.
• Mobile Kitchens: Building lightweight mobile kitchens to bring hot meals directly to people living on the streets, offering a pathway to community and a new start.
• Trade Education: Teaching practical skills like woodworking, metalworking, electronics, computer science, and renewable energy without crushing debt.
• Recovery Support: Offering spiritually inclusive recovery programs that respect personal autonomy and dignity without religious coercion.

The Economic Backbone: The Coven of Commerce

Raven’s Nest is developing economic models designed for human survival rather than corporate extraction:

• Witchmart: An online and physical marketplace connecting makers, farmers, craftspeople, and communities.
• The Cost-Plus-15% Model: For essential goods, our rule is simple—if it costs us one dollar, we sell it for one dollar and fifteen cents, keeping value circulating locally.

Faith Without Fear: Pagans for People

Rooted in Pagan practice and the living Earth, Raven’s Nest is open to all. Whether you are Pagan, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Satanist, atheist, or agnostic, all peaceful paths are welcome if you treat others with dignity.
